Do you sell car seats or smoke detectors?
No. We do not sell car seats or smoke detectors, but the smoke detectors are included in the package as noted.
How long does an appointment take?
Most car seat appointments take between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on the number of car seats being installed. Most smoke detector installation services take 1-2 hours, depending on the number of detectors being installed or serviced.
Are your installers qualified?
Yes. Our team only includes active or retired firefighters who have extensive experience and knowledge in car seat and smoke detector safety. Our car seat installers include only those who are certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians and follow nationally recognized safety standards.
Do you install new hard-wired smoke detectors?
We replace existing hard-wired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
What areas do you serve?
We currently serve Lincoln, Omaha, and Central Nebraska communities. Additional service areas will be added as our network grows.
What if I have more than four car seats or more than eight detectors?
Additional car seats and detectors can be added to your appointment for an additional fee. Please let us know when booking so we can plan accordingly.
Can’t I get my car seat installed for free?
Yes—there are free car seat check events offered by local organizations. These events are a great resource, but they often come with limitations:
Long lines and wait times
Limited spots that fill up quickly
Set dates and times that may not fit your schedule
Focus on only one of your family owned vehicles at a time
Aren’t there other free resources to install smoke detectors?
Some fire departments and community programs may offer free smoke detector installation. These can be a helpful option, but they are often limited:
Typically install one (or a small number) of detectors
May require qualification or depend on availability
Do not usually include a full-home safety evaluation
